🌟PropTech Star of the week: Curri

Curri is revolutionizing the world of construction logistics, by providing speedy and efficient delivery of construction supplies. This California-based startup just raised a $42M Series B. Curri offers an on-demand logistics platform to expedite the supply of building materials to jobsites.
Basically, the Uber of delivery for construction materials.
Aiming to revolutionize construction logistics, Curri is simplifying the process of transporting materials from point A to point B. Be it plumbing parts, electrical equipment, or large-scale construction material, Curri offers on-demand delivery services, ensuring projects continue without a hitch.
This solves a real pain point. Often, construction companies run out of materials or need a last minute item, at which point there are two options: leave the job site and go to the nearest building supply store OR call the building supply store and have it delivered. However, delivery for the same day is often not an option.

Curri’s industry use cases
Why we like Curri?
Curri’s same day delivery ensures costs are saved on both the contractor and building supplier sides: fuel costs, time wasted traveling, and labor costs.
The key components of Curri’s services include:
On-demand delivery service. Their range of vehicle options ensures that materials of all sizes can be transported efficiently, eliminating the need for multiple deliveries or providers.
Integration with existing software, such as existing procurement and project management software, allowing for streamlined operations. This way, companies can place orders directly from their existing platforms, minimizing disruption and saving valuable time.
Real-time tracking for all deliveries, helping project managers plan their schedules more effectively.
Transparent pricing to help users maintain control over their project budgets.
Curri provides a network of local, insured, and background-checked drivers that handle delivers for Curri’s users. With vehicles in all shapes and sizes, Curri enables users to send/deliver a variety of materials.

Curri platform interface
What are the risks?
Uber already has a platform for logistics (Uber Trucks) that operates under similar models for the trucking industry. IF Uber were to incorporate construction material transport, Curri might face pressure from Uber’s network in approximately 70 countries (10,500 cities), 131 million monthly active users, and 5.4 million active drivers and couriers worldwide.

Curri’s “Drive-to-Earn” model
We at PropTech Stars are excited about Curri's innovative approach to construction logistics. By transforming the way materials are delivered to construction sites, Curri is not only helping construction projects run smoothly but is also driving efficiency (and thereby cost savings) within the industry.
